Culture trip to Vienna The Albertina in Vienna offers open space for Pablo Picasso and the Hollmann Beletage offers plenty of space for you...
Picasso is coming! The Albertina in Vienna will dedicate their new exhibition starting in fall to the life of the Spanish artist. The exhibition will especially focus on the artist's late works, showing numerous sculptures, paintings and other pieces that give visitors an example of the neverending production of art that the artist, born Malagueño, concentrated on during the last years of his life. Painting against time (Malen gegen die Zeit) is the title of the exhibition that will be directed by Werner Spieß, the former director of the prominent Centre Pompidou in Paris. (Picasso - Malen gegen die Zeit, September 9, 2006 - January 7, 2007, Albertina, 1010 Vienna. Tel +43 1 53483-0)
The perfect place to stay during a Vienna culture trip For me, the perfect place to stay during a Vienna culture trip is the city residence Hollmann Beletage. Here, I can take advantage of the private atmosphere to relax after an exhausting sighseeing walk through the city - or, of course, grab one of the stylish Hollmann bikes and cycle through the city centre all the way to Picasso. This definitely earns extra fun and culture points right in the centre of the historic city of Vienna. (Hollmann Belletage, Köllnerhofgasse 6, Tel +43 1 961196-0, www.hollmann-beletage.at. This hint is from Marlene Leberer, Project Manager).
